A new petition is circulating around that I support and is at this link It's a petition to have private photos and memorabilia returned to the family of George Harrison, Olivia and Dhani. The petition reads,
'The Harrison family valued their privacy and rightfully so. For years each member of The Beatles has had their privacy glossed over and ignored simply because they were famous.
No one, famous or not, deserves to have mementos of their personal, private life, auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Andrea first discovered these [a,b,c & d] and upon contact with the seller ascertained that the Harrison family does not know that these still exist, nor that they are being sold. As people who have been inspired by George Harrison and his life, we feel it is right to make an attempt to have these personal pieces of his life given to the rest of his family and that no one should make a profit.
By signing, you can help us return these memories to the two people who deserve them most. May Peace and Love be with You.
~ Alyssa Maria & Andrea
Personally I agree with Alyssa and Andrea, there is a very clear & distinct line between public life & private life. I personally respect the family's right to the privacy they have fought for for years and George's right to privacy even though he is no longer with us anymore. As we all know George fought hard for that right for privacy while alive and was able to maintain it and live a somewhat normal life. Or as normal a life as you can lead being a public figure. No one deserves having that right violated. To me what's right is right and the right thing to do would be to give these back to the family and do the right thing. Plus I don't think anyone should profit over a family's personal memories either. If you agree, please take a moment and sign this petition and share it as well to your social sites or websites. Peace, love & God Bless!
